Kindergarten 4 - 5 years
At Rupertswood Kids World, we know that being ready for big school means much more than counting or saying our ABC’s. It’s about confidence and curiosity. Preparing your children for independence, structure of routines and rules and forming friendships in a school environment. Little things like sitting on the mat, raising our hands, initiating play, communicating with friends and following directions.
Starting kindergarten is such an exciting time for your child, and for you, too.

Our Kindergarten Program
Our Kindergarten Program, is prepared for children aged 4-5 years, and builds the essential knowledge, independence and skills needed for a smooth and positive transition to primary school.
Our Kindergarten studio is led by a qualified confident early childhood teacher and experienced educators. Our studio is set up with opportunities for self play, fine motor and cognitive creativity and we have ample spaces for independence. With access to our large outdoor area, the Kindergarten children can still have the classroom experience, and time for fun outside.
Throughout our program, we have technology which is also balanced with play, movement and collaboration, helping children become confident and responsible digital learners by sharing and turn taking with their peers. By the end of kindergarten, your child will be able to recognise and be responsible of their belongings and routines independently, work well with others and learn to share their ideas with following instructions and participate in groups and communicate and express their emotions appropriately.
At Rupertswood Kids World, we work closely with families and local schools to support smooth transitions for your child
What a day in Kindergarten may look like.
We start our day with a warm morning welcome and outdoor play. We transition indoors for group discussions and a yummy morning tea.
Role play is also important for a child’s development. We offer a space for role play and dress ups for children to be able to express themselves.
All our meals are made fresh on site, and we all sit together for some lunch.
During the day, Kindergarten children still need to rest their bodies, so we offer quiet and rest times for children who wish to lay down or complete quiet activities. This gives them a chance to reset and be ready for the afternoon.
After our rest we offer creative time, reading or technology followed by our afternoon tea and outdoor time.
The balance of having a routine develops school ready awareness whilst in a caring, warm and welcoming environment.
